You’ve spent money, time and energy in researching and developing your products and now you are ready to show the world your creation. But, wait. Have you spent as much time thinking about how your product will be presented? What message does your packaging promote? As part of our case study series of blogs, this month we are focusing on a bespoke envelope creation, designed to present a product and help it to stand out on the shelf.
The Avid Seamstress is a London based pattern company dedicated to helping modern women enjoy the art of sewing. Crafting quality products and easy to follow sewing instructions the vision, set out by founder Lisa Falconer, is to “strive to bring together a community of women to empower and inspire each other through sewing”
Lisa approached our Customisation Team to find a high quality, solution to display her pattern pieces in. With the requirement to have a full colour image printed on the entire front, with a tuck in flap design for ease of use.
Experimenting with a variety of options, our team were able to design a fully functioning envelope style packaging solution, crafted from high quality materials. Whilst sleek in design, the envelope is fully functional and created to withstand frequent use whilst providing adequate storage of the sewing patterns.
Presenting a product in a paper based design not only offers a conscientious alternative to plastic packaging, it also provides a tactile element and a way to stand out from the competitors.
By making conscientious decisions and choosing high quality, yet cost effective materials, the quality of the product is emulated in its packaging, representing core visions and values of the brand.
Lisa Commented: “The Blake team are really great! Knowing that I have such a great supplier for such a key element of my product is fantastic. They go out of their way to help me and I couldn't be happier working with them. We developed a bespoke envelope which is often commented on by my customers - it makes my product stand out from the rest. Thank you Blake team!”
