This follows the opening of the first hub in Edinburgh in October last year.
Managing Director, Michael Barter said, “The prime reason for creating the Hubs of Excellence was to immerse Blake into some of the most strategic locations across the UK; making it far easier for the business to develop relationships with those in the know with regards to the print, envelopes and the postal packaging sector. We have secured a location that couldn’t be closer to the action, right in the centre of Leeds with a LS1 postcode.”
Michael continues, “When Richard approached us it was clear that he would be a brilliant fit, not only does he have over 20 years’ experience in the print, envelopes and postal packaging sectors but more over his friendly personality matched with a strong sense of ambition aligns brilliantly with the culture here at Blake. I have known Richard for over 15 years and have a good deal of respect for what he has achieved in that time”.
“Although envelopes are still a large part of our business the securing of top talent like Richard helps in our move to diversify into postal packaging solutions an area that is very much in growth and is likely to be for many years to come”.
Richard Pennie comments, “Blake are shaping their business for growth and sustainability and the new office in Leeds is testament to this. 2017 has already started well and I am truly excited to be part of the wider Blake team, who are incredibly enthusiastic and also deeply caring towards clients of all sizes”.
