As part of our enhanced new look across our core range branding, we focused on written art forms that would elevate our product ranges.
For the rebranding of our Premium range of products we commissioned the admired and well known calligraphy artist Peter Horridge, to produce bespoke calligraphy illustrations to be used as the key design element of our new product branding. The quality and superiority of Horridge’s work marries perfectly the superiority of the Premium range, the style of lettering produced perfectly elevates the quality and excellence of the Premium products.
Peter illustrated six slogans, for which the wording was developed to suggest to the user or customer, the essence and intended uses of the products within the Premium product ranges.
Peter Horridge is an esteemed, globally recognised designer and illustrator, unmatched in the creation of letterforms. His characteristic fluidity of line and mark making is seen within multiple, well recognised brand logos, crests, marques and illustrations, across the UK and internationally. Peter, like Blake has an unwavering passion for the art of lettering and the written word, making him the perfect artist for this project.
Throughout his career Peter has won numerous awards, from a silver medal at the VIII Biennale of Graphic Design in Brno, whilst still at college, to numerous D&AD awards, Gold & Silver Clio and Rose awards, Association of illustrators, Type Directors NYC.
We worked with Peter over a number of weeks to create these beautifully unique calligraphy illustrations. The following video was also produced to showcase the work and process involved in producing the final artwork. It tells a fantastic story of how the hand drawn designs were translated into the final pieces you now see across our different sales channels and within our new, rebranded packaging.
